Thornleigh Cricket Club was honoured as the 2025 Cricket NSW Community Cricket Club of the Year, recognising its outstanding contribution to grassroots cricket in New South Wales. By fostering a welcoming environment and implementing robust governance practices, Thornleigh Cricket Club has become a model for community cricket organisations across the state. They field both Junior and Senior teams, with programs ranging from Cricket Blast for children aged 5–7,Junior Teams for Children aged 8 and up, through to competitive senior grades. The club has a focus on inclusivity and community spirit. They welcome players of all skill levels and foster a supportive environment for both social and competitive cricket.

Each season, Thornleigh Cricket Club enters multiple senior teams into the HKHDCA competition, with matches played on Saturday afternoons across the Hornsby district.

Cricket NSW Community Club of the Year 2025

Thornleigh Cricket Club, established in the 1930s, is one of the oldest and most respected clubs in the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai & Hills District Cricket Association(HKHDCA). Based at Thornleigh Oval, the club has long served as a hub for cricket enthusiasts in Thornleigh, Westleigh, and surrounding suburbs.
